Welcome to Chalet Mallum Grengiols!
Here you can relax, enjoy nature, and create unforgettable memories together. Our family-run Chalet Mallum, built in 1978, is located in southern Switzerland at an altitude of 1,000 meters in the charming and tranquil mountain village of Grengiols. Here you will find peace and quiet, fresh mountain air, and countless opportunities for cycling and hiking in the summer, as well as fantastic skiing in the winter. All year round, you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the village and the valley.
Our Family Chalet
Chalet Mallum has been our family retreat since 1978 and has always been lovingly maintained. For several years now, we have been renting the chalet to guests who, like us, want to experience authentic Swiss mountain life. The house is spacious, fully equipped, and very comfortably furnished. It has been further modernized in recent years.
The family chalet consists of an upper and a lower house. Both houses can be rented separately and are fully furnished. The upper house accommodates up to 9 people and has a very large balcony with panoramic views of the village and the valley. The bright and spacious living room with a fireplace was recently renovated. The lower house accommodates up to 5 people and has a large terrace with breathtaking views of the village, the valley, and the surrounding mountains. The lower house was completely renovated in 2024.
There is ample parking at the chalet, and the access road is easily navigable even in winter. There is also a train station in Grengiols; the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway stop is a 15-minute walk from the chalet.

The Surroundings of Grengiols
Grengiols is situated on a romantic, sunny hillside overlooking the Rhone Valley and the surrounding mountains. It belongs to the Binntal Landscape Park, which also includes the historic town of Ernen.
In summer, beautiful hiking trails, mountain bike tours, and the opportunity to explore the nearby Aletsch Glacier invite you to linger. Excellent swimming pools can be found in Brig and Leukerbad, and Brig also offers museums. A day trip to Milan is also easily possible.
In winter, the mountains transform into a white winter wonderland. The Aletsch Arena ski resort is just a few kilometers away, and Belwald is also within easy reach. Zermatt and Saasgrund can be reached in an hour by car. Thanks to Grengiols' own train station, everything is easily accessible by train or car.
Just 200 meters from the house in Grengiols, you'll find a football pitch with a large playground, a barbecue area, and a mini-golf course, all of which can be used free of charge. In winter, the mini-golf course is transformed into an ice rink, which can be used free of charge (ice skates included).
Grengiols is also accessible by train. Within 30 minutes you can reach Brig, Fiesch (Fischeralp), the Bettmeralp valley station, and Morel (Riederalp).
